Most riders will arrive on Thursday, and it’ s media day. TV interviews for your home broadcasters and outlets around the world, a Press Conference and our special MotoGP™ programming all cover the latest breaking news and headlines from inside the paddock. Gearing up is the name of the game. And then it’ s go time.
FRIDAY
Friday is the day you come through the gates and take your seats, or find the best place to watch from, as track action gets underway. For MotoGP™, FP1 in the morning is a session to get familiarised with track conditions and see where the level is at. It’ s the same for Moto2™ and Moto3™, before the even more important stuff fires up in the afternoon. For MotoGP™, it’ s a 60-minute session to decide the top ten, who move through automatically to Q2 qualifying on Saturday morning. Those who don’ t make the cut get a second chance to move through in Q1, where the top two will join the already selected ten for the pole position shootout. So Practice is a big finish to Friday.
Moto2™ and Moto3™ follow the same format as MotoGP™, with Friday afternoon’ s Practice session deciding the top 14 who are automatically in Q2. The rest are in Q1.
Si inizia il giovedì, giornata dedicata alla conferenza stampa e a GearUp, lo show che porta novità e ultime notizie direttamente dal paddock. È il primo assaggio del weekend, con una conferenza stampa durante la quale i media internazionali accreditati possono rivolgere le loro domande a una selezione di piloti.
VENERDÌ
Il venerdì è il giorno in cui entrerai in circuito per prendere posto, oppure per andare alla ricerca del punto migliore da cui seguire lo spettacolo. Inizia anche l’ azione in pista con le prove libere. Al mattino, i piloti iniziano a prendere confidenza con il tracciato e con le condizioni della pista, raccogliendo le prime indicazioni sui valori in campo. Questo vale per la MotoGP™, così come per le classi Moto2™ e Moto3™.
Nel pomeriggio è il momento della sessione Practice della MotoGP™, che determina i 14 piloti che accederanno direttamente alla Q2. Tutti gli altri dovranno affrontare la Q1. Da qui, i piloti più veloci avranno l’ opportunità di qualificarsi per la Q2 e giocarsi la pole position.
