33 riders from 19 different nationalities are competing at the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship this weekend as the stars of the future have a chance to showcase their talents to World Championship teams .
In 2022 , the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship celebrates 25 years of providing the future stars of World Championship action . The series has been so successful in that time that more than 80 % of Grand Prix riders have passed through the series on their Road to MotoGP™ . 90 % for the Moto3™ grid has competed in the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship at some point . Created as a feeder class , the series is the most competitive junior championship in the world . So high is the level here , the series is now viewed as a proving ground for riders on their way to the Moto3™ grid . Such is their ability , when they get to the World Championship they are able to make it all the way to the MotoGP™ grid , and even win the ultimate honour : the MotoGP™ World Championship . The riders to do so include eight-time World Champion and record-breaker Marc Marquez , 2020 MotoGP™ World Champion Joan Mir and reigning MotoGP™ World Champion Fabio Quartararo .
