Martín ha esordito in Moto3™ nel 2015 dopo aver vinto la Red Bull Rookies Cup l ’ anno prima . Ha ottenuto il primo podio nella classe cadetta nel 2016 . Nel 2017 lo spagnolo è passato al team Del Conca Gresini Racing Moto3™ e si è piazzato quarto assoluto con nove pole position e la prima vittoria in carriera . Nel 2018 , poi , il titolo con sette vittorie . Entrato nella Moto2™ con la squadra KTM di Aki Ajo nel 2019 , ha avuto scarso successo . Il passaggio a un telaio Kalex nel 2020 lo ha visto invece afferrare tre vittorie , anche se l ’ anno è stato compromesso quando ha contratto il Covid-19 . Quanto aveva mostrato era però abbastanza per convincere la Ducati , che per il 2021 gli ha offerto un posto nella squadra Pramac : sbalordendo il paddock , nella stagione del debutto ha ottenuto una vittoria , altri due podi e tre pole . Nel 2022 resta nella stessa squadra : inizio di stagione difficile e poco costante per lui che deve fare i conti con un infortunio e con l ’ adattamento alla Ducati GP22 anche se in alcune circostanze fa parte del gruppo dei migliori .

Martín joined the Moto3™ World Championship in 2015 , after winning the Red Bull Rookies Cup the year before . He scored his first podium in 2016 . For 2017 , the Spaniard moved to Del Conca Gresini Racing Moto3™ when he placed fourth overall in a year that saw him rack up nine pole positions and a first win 2018 would be Martin ’ s year as he emerged victorious after scoring seven victories . He then moved to Moto2™ with Aki Ajo ’ s KTM squad in 2019 but with limited success . A switch to a Kalex chassis in 2020 led to three wins , but his title hopes were dashed by a positive Covid-19 test . Ducati saw enough to hand him a seat in the Pramac squad in 2021 and he stunned the paddock by taking a debut win , two further podiums and three poles . It was a tough , inconsistent start to the year , as Martin struggled with injury and to adapt to Ducati ’ s GP22 . He ’ s still a major threat on occasion .
