Francesco Bagnaia kam 2013 in die Moto3™ Weltmeisterschaft , doch schaffte er es in seinem ersten Jahr nicht ein einziges Mal in die Punkte . Erst als er 2015 auf das Moto3™ Bike von Mahindra wechselte , konnte er sein Talent zeigen . 2018 wurde er ins Sky VR46 Moto2™ Team berufen . In seiner zweiten Saison mit dieser Mannschaft holte er acht Siege und den WM-Titel . Bagnaia debütierte 2019 im Pramac Ducati Team in der MotoGP™ , ein Jahr später holte er in Misano sein erstes Podest . 2021 wechselte er ins Werksteam von Ducati : Er holte aus den letzten sechs Saisonrennen vier Siege und mischte im Titelkampf mit . Auch 2022 fährt er für das Ducati- Werksteam und ist ein Titelanwärter .

Bagnaia ’ s debut season in Moto3™ in 2013 was an inauspicious one , the Italian failing to score a point . It wasn ’ t until he switched to Mahindra ’ s Moto3™ racer in 2015 that he really came into his own . A call up to Sky VR46 ’ s new Moto2™ team , followed in 2018 . A second season with the squad saw him claim eight wins and his first World Title . Bagnaia made his MotoGP™ debut with Pramac Ducati in 2019 , but it was only in 2020 that he came alive , scoring a debut podium at Misano . He moved to Ducati ’ s Factory team in 2021 and rose to the challenge , notching up four victories from the last six races and fighting for the title . On the basis of his riding skill and Ducati ’ s current strength , he ’ s a title favourite in 2022 .
