Much hangs on this weekend of MotoGP™ action. Argentina and Austin were Marc Marquez( Ducati Lenovo Team) favourites. And now with ground to be recovered Pecco Bagnaia( Ducati Lenovo Team) knows he must begin the fightback.
Marquez has been in stunning form this term, taking maximum points from the first two rounds. But a last Qatar victory came in 2014. He openly acknowledges this is one of his weaker tracks. Can he keep the run going here?
By contrast, Bagnaia was utterly dominant here a year ago and knows he must challenge for victory after lacking confidence with his 2025 package in the opening rounds. He knows Marc won’ t be his only challenger. Alex Marquez( BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), whose preseason form and double runner up haul in Thailand and Argentina, should be right in the mix.
After Brad Binder’ s( Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) double runner up berth here last year, there should be a chance for KTM’ s runners to ignite their season here. After disappointing outings in Thailand and Argentina, Pedro Acosta( Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) will be keen to do well at the track where he amazed onlookers last year.
