The reigning Champion will race with the # 1 in 2025, and he’ ll do it on a different bike. After duelling Francesco Bagnaia to the end in 2023 and coming up short, Martin won the rematch in 2024 – and that was even after he took his future into his own hands and signed with Aprilia. That ended the speculation over whether Martin or Marc Marquez would partner Bagnaia at Ducati, and it sets up a mouth-watering 2025 as the # 1 pits out from the Aprilia garage instead. Everything – or nearly everything – that had previously been a chink in Martin’ s armour since his impressive but injury-hit MotoGP debut in 2021 seems to have been whittled away, with consistency and a lack of unforced errors playing a large part in how he took his maiden MotoGP crown. The start to life at his new home, Aprilia Racing, has been far from straightforward. But now Jorge is fully fit and ready to attack the second half of 2025.
