Filho mais velho do ex-campeão mundial de 500cc Wayne Gardner , Remy juntou-se à CIP Team , com uma Mahindra , em 2015 . Foi um ano com altos e baixos , e o então adolescente , que estava a crescer rapidamente , mudou-se para a maior máquina de Moto2 , em 2016 . Em 2017 , ele já estava aos comandos com o chassi mistral 610 , da Tech3 e , assim , como se tornou um Top 10 regular em 2018 , mudou para o OneXOX SAG Kalex no ano seguinte , quando conseguiu o seu primeiro pódio . Em 2020 , deu um grande passo à frente e conseguiu uma valiosa primeira vitória em Portugal antes de mudar para a equipa de Aki Ajo , em 2021 . Remy terminou todas as corridas , menos uma , e ganhou o título por quatro pontos graças a cinco vitórias . O prémio ? Um lugar na equipa Tech3 MotoGP™ aos comandos de uma KTM RC16 de fábrica . Espera-se que este piloto lute pela coroa de rookie do ano .

The eldest son of former 500cc World Champion Wayne Gardner , Remy joined the CIP Team with a Mahindra bike in 2015 . It was a mixed year , and the rapidly growing teenager moved to bigger Moto2™ machinery in 2016 . By 2017 he was riding Tech 3 ’ s outdated Mistral 610 chassis and just as he became a regular top ten finisher in 2018 he switched to to OneXOX SAG Kalex the following year , when he scored a debut podium . 2020 saw him take a huge step forward , and collect a priceless debut win in Portugal before he switched to Aki Ajo ’ s team for 2021 . There , Remy finished every race bar one and won the title by four points thanks to five wins . His prize ? A seat in Tech 3 ’ s MotoGP™ team aboard a full factory KTM RC16 . He ’ ll be expected to fight for the Rookie of the year crown this year .
