Rins sempre aprendeu rápido . Além de conquistar a pole no seu segundo Grande Prémio , em 2012 , ele estava a um passo de conquistar o título mundial de Moto3™ , no ano seguinte . Além disso , subiu ao pódio na sua segunda corrida de Moto2™ antes de pressionar Johann Zarco , o eventual campeão , ao longo de 2015 . A estreia no MotoGP™ , com a Suzuki , veio em 2017 . Após um início de lesão , ele progrediu rapidamente , marcando cinco pódios , em 2018 , antes de somar mais três , em 2019 . Uma fratura no ombro direito , na primeira corrida de 2020 prejudicou a sua competição , mas , mesmo assim , Rins terminou em terceiro no campeonato após uma série de excelentes corridas . No entanto , em 2021 não conseguiu manter o nível e sofreu até cinco abandonos , ao andar em posições promissoras . Continua com a equipa Suzuki Ecstar por mais um ano e pretende mostrar todo o seu potencial .

Rins has always been a fast learner . As well as taking pole position at just his second ever GP in 2012 , he came within a corner of winning the Moto3™ world title the following year . What ’ s more , he was on the podium in just his second ever Moto2™ race before pushing eventual champion Johann Zarco hardest throughout 2015 . Rins ’ MotoGP™ debut with Suzuki followed suit in 2017 . After an injury-plagued opening , he quickly progressed , scoring five podiums in 2018 , while he added three more in 2019 . A dislocation-fracture of his right shoulder in the first race of 2020 hurt his campaign but Rins still finished third in the championship after a string of excellent rides . He failed to build on that in 2021 , however , and crashed out of promising positions on five separate occasions . He remains with Ecstar Suzuki for another year and has it all to prove .
