A primeira temporada de Bagnaia na Moto3™ , em 2013 , foi desfavorável , já que o italiano não marcou nenhum ponto . Foi só quando ele mudou para a Moto3™ de Mahindra , em 2015 que ele realmente deixou a sua marca . Em 2018 , foi recrutado pela nova equipa de moto2™ do Sky VR46 . Uma segunda temporada com a mesma estrutura permitiu-lhe obter oito vitórias e o seu primeiro título mundial . Bagnaia fez a sua estreia no MotoGP™ com a Pramac Ducati , em 2019 , mas foi só em 2020 que ele se destacou , assinando seu primeiro pódio em Misano . Em 2021 , ele transferiu-se para a equipa de fábrica da Ducati mostrando estar à altura , acumulando quatro vitórias nas últimas seis corridas e lutando pelo título . Devido à sua habilidade e à actual força da Ducati , ele é um dos favoritos ao título em 2022 .

Bagnaia ’ s debut season in Moto3™ in 2013 was an inauspicious one , the Italian failing to score a point . It wasn ’ t until he switched to Mahindra ’ s Moto3™ racer in 2015 that he really came into his own . A call up to Sky VR46 ’ s new Moto2™ team , followed in 2018 . A second season with the squad saw him claim eight wins and his first World Title . Bagnaia made his MotoGP™ debut with Pramac Ducati in 2019 , but it was only in 2020 that he came alive , scoring a debut podium at Misano . He moved to Ducati ’ s Factory team in 2021 and rose to the challenge , notching up four victories from the last six races and fighting for the title . On the basis of his riding skill and Ducati ’ s current strength , he ’ s a title favourite in 2022 .
