FIM ENEL MotoE™ World Championship

The MotoE™ World Championship is back for its sixth season . And on the evidence of the opening seven rounds , it ’ s more exciting than ever thanks to a host of exciting new names and teams joining the series .

The series received the double boost of new World Championship status in 2023 , as well as welcoming Ducati as the sole bike supplier , with the impressive V21L prototype breaking race and lap records throughout the year .
And in 2024 , there has been a thrilling championship battle containing as many as six different names to keep audiences on the edges of their seats , with the fight between Hector Garzo , Kevin Zannoni , Matti Casadei and Oscar Gutierrez going right the way down to the final round – the seventh straight time MotoE™ has delivered such a conclusion .
Like last season , the World Championship has been contested over eight rounds and 16 races , with the series kicking off in Portugal at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in March . Trips to Le Mans , and the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya followed in May , before Mugello and Assen hosted rounds four and five in June . The Sachsenring hosted round six , the Red Bull Ring round seven before Misano rounds off the year .
There are a total of five nationalities and 18 entrants for the 2024 running . Garzo has been the pick of the bunch . The Spaniard ’ s midseason push has resulted in four wins and a healthy 38-point lead going into the final round . A single fourth place will be enough to win him the title for the first time .
Yet it won ’ t be entirely straightforward . Openbank Aspar Team ’ s Zannoni has enjoyed his best ever season , scoring five podiums , while reigning Champion Mattia Casadei , now with LCR E-Team , remains in the hunt to defend his crown . Rookie superstar Gutierrez has lit up the series in 2024 riding for the new Axxis-MSI squad and could be even closer than 49 points back , but for an agonising crash out of the lead in the second Austrian bow .
Further challenges will be offered in the final round by Tech3 E-Racing duo Alessandro Zaccone and Nicholas Spinelli , both race winners this year , as well as 2020 and 2021 Cup winner Jordi Torres ( Openbank Aspar Team ), and first ever Cup winner Matteo Ferrari ( Felo Gresini MotoE™ ).
