A huge year for the South African , who just fell short of KTM ’ s goal of finishing inside the top three in the championship in 2023 . At times the bike let him down . But in others race-craft or mistakes were his undoing . Yet Binder was still comfortably the top KTM , and the rider most capable of providing a regular challenge to the hoard of Ducatis . Going off KTM ’ s early season form , a first win since 2021 shouldn ’ t be far away for the 2016 Moto3™ World Champion after he scored a strong second in Qatar . Both he and the factory were aiming to challenge for the title this year but Binder and KTM have been going through a tricky period midseason .

Ottima annata per il sudafricano che nel 2023 ha sfiorato la top 3 finale con KTM . A volte è stata la moto il problema , altre volte ha pagato degli errori suoi . In ogni caso quella di Binder è stata la miglior KTM ed è stato lui il portacolori della Casa austriaca a sfidare con maggiore regolarità le Ducati . Non vince dal 2021 ma il campione del mondo 2016 in Moto3™ ha centrato un secondo posto in Qatar che fa ben sperare . KTM e Binder sanno che è arrivato il momento di lottare per il titolo nonostante una striscia di risultati non soddisfacenti .
