“ I always say that the plan for next year would be to have a better package , to rise and trying to be in the fight with the top guys ,” he said once his deal for 2025 was confirmed . “ I ’ m super proud of my journey , honoured also that a lot of manufacturers had a lot of interest in me . So it means that we are doing a good job . I ’ m doing a good job , I ’ m learning and becoming faster and faster ,” he said .
“ I just tried last year to focus on myself . At the end we did an incredible growth through all the year and also this year it was important to be always there . To push with the bike that I have now , the GP23 . So it ’ s amazing . And also I think it was also my goal in my career to be wanted in the factory teams and try to fight to fight and ride with the best bikes .”
Di Giannantonio will work with a new crew chief in 2025 as current technician David Muñoz will move to factory Yamaha . “ Continuity with the same staff makes you stronger , makes you better ,” he said . “ But anyway , I think in in the VR team they will – also because now they are factory supported . As today has been announced . So I think that in that case they will choose the best people .”
The goal for the future could even include competing with Ducati in endurance racing . “ I would love to do the Suzuka 8 Hours ,” he said . “ I ’ m pushing a lot with my staff at home to try to organise that . It is one of my races in the bucket list like to do 8 hours of Suzuka . Also some races with the car . So in case we will be together with Ducati it would be amazing to ride for them at Suzuka .”
