As he struggled to 22nd in last year ’ s championship , failing to score points in 15 of the 20 rounds , it was hard to believe Mir was a MotoGP™ World Champion as recently as 2020 . But a year ’ s worth of experience in the Repsol Honda Team aboard the RC213V , a switch to working with Marc Marquez ’ s old crew , and some drastic changes to the bike have led to a solid preseason . Mir is under no illusions with regards to the task ahead . But scoring top ten finishes in the early rounds would be a solid platform for the rest of the year .
Als Joan Mir 2023 auf dem 22 . WM-Rang landete , in 15 von 20 Rennen keine Punkte holte , da konnte man kaum glauben , dass dieser Spanier 2020 noch MotoGP™ Weltmeister war . Nach einem Jahr Erfahrung im Repsol Honda Team und auf der RC213V , dem Wechsel zur alten Crew von Marc Marquez und einigen drastischen Änderungen am Motorrad konnte Mir bereits bei den Tests besser in die Saison starten . Mir macht sich hinsichtlich der bevorstehenden Aufgabe keine Illusionen . Aber er hat bereits gezeigt , dass er in der Lage ist , die Rolle des Leaders im Werksteam zu übernehmen und zeigte bisher schon eine viel bessere Leistung als vor einem Jahr .
