2023 was a mixed bag for the Spaniard . On an ungainly Honda , he surprised the watching world by winning in Austin only for a serious leg injury to derail his campaign in June . Now part of Yamaha ’ s factory team , Rins has already impressed engineers with his high corner speed and late-braking ability . A canny ability to develop bikes , learnt over six years at Suzuki , will undoubtedly be of benefit to Yamaha There ’ s no reason why he can ’ t push team-mate Quartararo most weekends once he ’ s adapted to the M1 as they aim to bring Yamaha back to the top .
2023 war für den Spanier Rins ein gemischtes Jahr . Auf einer störrischen Honda konnte er in Austin überaschenderweise gewinnen . Doch eine Beinverletzung im Juni machte seine Saison quasi zunichte . Rins ist ins Werksteam von Yamaha gewechselt und begeistert dort mit hohen Kurvengeschwindigkeiten und seinem Bremsstil . Dass er über sechs Jahre lang bei Suzuki die Motorräder mit entwickelt hat , wird Yamaha zweifelsohne zu Gute kommen . Es gibt keinen Grund , warum er seinen Teamkollegen Quartararo nicht an den meisten Wochenenden pushen kann , wenn er sich erst einmal an die M1 gewöhnt hat . Das Ziel ist , Yamaha wieder an die Spitze zu bringen .
