But the 34-year old is doing anything but . 2023 showed once again why the Catalan is hailed as Aprilia ’ s ‘ Captain ’, as he claimed two impressive wins and finished sixth overall . His work to bring both Suzuki and Aprilia up to competitive speed in the premier class shouldn ’ t be forgotten . And while it ’ s difficult to envision him overhauling Ducati ’ s fastest men over a full season , early performances have indicated Espargaro should be in line to add to his win tally again in 2024 , which will be his final year in MotoGP™ .
