Welcome Silverstone MotoGP™ fans !
How lucky are we to host the official MotoGP™ 75th anniversary celebrations ? We can ’ t wait to see the entire MotoGP™ grid lined up with their special retro liveries inspired by each team ’ s history . The unveiling of these liveries at our annual Day of Champions on Thursday is a great way to kick off the weekend , where vintage meets modern spectacle .
We ’ re also excited to see if we can beat our nine from nine record . We ’ ve had nine different race winners from the last nine British Grands Prix , can we make it 10 from 10 ? The way the championship is shaping up so far , there ’ s every reason we could achieve this , with such closely fought racing , so many riders at the top of their game and so little between the machinery , it ’ s definitely anyone ’ s race this year . We might not know who ’ ll win , but we do know that we ’ re set for a weekend full of drama , entertainment and awesome racing .
It ’ s not just MotoGP™ that will deliver the excitement , as we have so much more racing on the schedule . One of my highlights will be watching 23-times TT winner , John McGuinness guest in Pirelli SuperStock National Championship . We recently hosted a Monster Energy media day ahead of this weekend , with a roster of Monster Energy athletes taking to the track . Watching McGuinness and Rossi out together was an unforgettable , surreal moment . I ’ m sure our jam-packed racing schedule will provide plenty more thrills and memories for you all .
The excitement doesn ’ t stop there though as we ’ ve lined up an entertainment schedule that adds more fun to your weekend . Sigma DJ set on Friday night , The Kooks on Saturday evening and The Darkness closing the show on Sunday on our main stage is a line up with something for everyone , and we hope you ’ ll stay and enjoy the party . Around the venue there ’ s even more entertainment with Monster Energy BMX bike shows , bike lovers merchandise , children ’ s activities and much more , creating a great festival vibe .
