The battle for the Pirelli National Superstock Championship with Moneybarn Vehicle Finance reaches its halfway point this weekend at the Monster Energy British Grand Prix , as the title fight intensifies at Silverstone .
The Championship features 18 races across eleven rounds , including this weekend ’ s showcase event at the Monster Energy British Grand Prix at Silverstone , serving as a support race to the MotoGP World Championship . The event will also feature the Monster Energy by FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team , with double Bennetts BSB champion Josh Brookes and Peter Hickman joining as wildcards in the two races . The opening half of the season has been dominated by Davey Todd and the Cheshire Mouldings BMW Motorrad team , as the 2022 champion aims to secure the title again with a different manufacturer . Joe Talbot has also claimed victories this season , with the SAF INTRADISC Honda by JR Performance Racing team pushing Todd . Scott Swann took his first race win at Knockhill in June . David Allingham , a previous title contender , returns on the SMS / Nicholls Oil Racing BMW . Other podium contenders include Tom Ward ( Armada Marine Cables Honda ), Matt Truelove ( TAG Honda ), Josh Owens ( IN Competition SENCAT Aprilia ), Simon Reid ( Cumins by
Team IWR Honda ), and Luke Mossey ( Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda ). Monster Energy-supported rider John McGuinness will also join the grid for the weekend , returning to the Superstock class for the Monster Energy British Grand Prix races at Silverstone . The 2024 entry list features six manufacturers as Honda aims for consecutive titles , competing against BMW , Kawasaki , Yamaha , Suzuki , and Aprilia .
