WELCOME
Selamat Datang and welcome to the PETRONAS GRAND PRIX OF MALAYSIA 2026!
There is nothing quite like race weekend in Sepang. The roar of the engines, the sea of Jalur Gemilang and thousands of fans united by their love of motorsports. As we welcome the MotoGP™ community back to PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, we celebrate 35 years of the Malaysian Grand Prix, a journey that began in 1991 and has become an integral part of our sporting identity. From Shah Alam to Johor and now Sepang, our Grand Prix has created countless unforgettable moments. It is more than just a race, Malaysian Grand Prix is a legacy and national pride that we continue to carry forward.
We are proud that role extends beyond delivering a world-class event. We are equally committed to nurturing the next generation of Malaysian motorsport talent. This year, we have every reason to rally behind Hakim Danish as he takes on his rookie season in the Moto3™ World Championship. Hakim Danish has already made history with his maiden victory at Brno and a podium finish at Mugello. His achievements demonstrate that Malaysian talent can compete with the world’ s best. His journey is a reminder that, with determination, opportunity and the right support, our young athletes can dream big and fly the Jalur Gemilang proudly on the international stage. Let us rally behind him and show him that an entire nation is cheering him on. Malaysia sentiasa bersamamu, Hakim Danish!
The MotoGP™ World Championship battle adds further excitement, with Jorge Martín and Marc Márquez separated by just two points following the Indonesian Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Maximo Quiles has secured the Moto3™ World Championship, showcasing the extraordinary talent emerging in this generation of riders. With pride, podiums and championship points at stake, Sepang promises fierce rivalries, daring overtakes and spectacular racing. Every second counts, every move matters and every cheer from the grandstands adds to the excitement.
Beyond the track, Malaysian Grand Prix celebrates the energy of our fans and the warmth of Malaysian hospitality. From exciting fan activities to local flavours and entertainment, there is something for everyone. Whether you come for the racing or the atmosphere, we welcome you with open arms to share in this incredible experience.
My heartfelt appreciation goes to the Government of Malaysia, PETRONAS, our title sponsor, our partners and all stakeholders for their continued trust and support. To PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit team, race officials, marshals, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you for your dedication in bringing this world-class event to life and making Sepang a proud stage for Malaysia.
