Selamat Datang and welcome to the PETRONAS GRAND PRIX OF MALAYSIA 2025( MotoGP™ Malaysia)!
This year is truly meaningful – my very first MotoGP™ as Chairman of PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit( SIC). It is a proud milestone for me personally, and to be part of this incredible legacy is both humbling and inspiring. I am excited to lead a passionate team that continues to carry Malaysia’ s motorsport spirit onto the global stage, right here at our beloved track.
Having spent many years with PETRONAS, it feels extra special to now experience this event from the other side of the track, as the Host. The journey has come full circle and I am grateful for this opportunity to keep contributing to the sport from a new perspective. Though my role has changed, the passion for motorsports remains unchanged. My heartfelt Terima Kasih to PETRONAS, our title sponsor for always standing together with us and your unwavering commitment and support in growing motorsports in Malaysia.
While a few familiar stars may be missing from this year’ s grid, the spirit of MotoGP™ never fades. The championship titles may have already been sealed; with Marc Marquez as the MotoGP™ World Champion and Jose Antonio Rueda in Moto3™. But as we say, the show must go on. Sepang has always been the perfect stage for pure adrenaline, drama and the unforgettable fan experiences that define MotoGP™ Malaysia.
We are very proud to cheer for our very own Malaysian rider, Hakim Danish, as he makes his Moto3™ wildcard debut on home soil. His participation represents more than just a race. It is a symbol of our nation’ s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and building the next generation of champions. From SIC MiniGP Championship to the world stage, his journey proves that with hard work, discipline and passion, Malaysians can compete among the very best. So let’ s give him our loudest support. We are here for you and Malaysia selalu bersamamu, Hakim Danish!
