Coming off its strongest MotoGP campaign yet, Massimo Rivola and Marco Bezzecchi head into 2026 with ambitious targets, even if they stopped short of declaring a title challenge. The Noale factory enjoyed a breakthrough 2025 season, securing 19 podiums, four Grand Prix victories, three Tissot Sprint wins and a first ever top three championship finish for an Aprilia rider. Rivola made it clear the objective is to build on that momentum.“ If we fight like lions at every race, then I will be happy with whatever the outcome will be,” he said.
By the middle of last season, Bezzecchi had emerged as a genuine front runner. The Italian regularly challenged Marc Marquez and fought for podiums in 11 of the final 13 races, missing out only in Barcelona and Malaysia. His form proved even more impressive given Jorge Martin spent large parts of the year sidelined through injury. Aprilia’ s consistency and outright pace turned the RS GP into one of the standout bikes on the grid.
For 2026, Aprilia has introduced major updates to the machine. Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini confirmed the bike features heavily revised aerodynamics, including a redesigned seat unit, alongside important electronics changes.“ In the electronics we work for sure in the area of traction control, especially, for the exit on the corner and also in the entry,” Sterlacchini explained.“ In terms of aerodynamics is to obtain better efficiency.” Aprilia has started the new campaign strongly. The next challenge is sustaining that pace deep into the title fight.

" Se lotteremo come leoni in ogni gara, sarò contento di qualsiasi risultato ", ha dichiarato.
Da metà 2025 in avanti, nonostante l’ impatto delle frequenti assenze del compagno di squadra Jorge Martin per infortunio, Bezzecchi ha infastidito Marc Marquez giocandosi il podio in quasi tutte le gare, fatta eccezione per Barcellona e la Malesia.
La moto 2026 presenta un ' aerodinamica radicalmente modificata, inclusa una sella diversa, oltre a cambiamenti a livello elettronico.“ Stiamo lavorando soprattutto sul controllo di trazione, in particolare in ingresso e uscita di curva”, ha dichiarato il direttore tecnico Fabiano Sterlacchini.“ In termini di aerodinamica, l ' obiettivo è ottenere una maggiore efficienza, per generare forze aerodinamiche migliori che siano produttive per le prestazioni, senza però avere svantaggi”. Aprilia ha iniziato la stagione in modo eccezionale. Resterà nella bagarre per il titolo nelle prossime settimane?
