Slowly but surely, 2026 is quickly turning in to a dream year for Marco Bezzecchi. Aprilia’ s star rider has had an explosive start to the season, building on the potential shown in 2025, to build a strong position in the championship fight.
È un avvio di 2026 da sogno, quello di Marco Bezzecchi. La star dell’ Aprilia è stata protagonista di un inizio di stagione esplosivo, concretizzato sullo slancio del potenziale espresso nel 2025. Si trova così in una posizione di forza, in ottica campionato.
The Italian won the first three MotoGP™ races of the year, leading every lap in the process. As witnessed at Jerez, he has shown the ability to collect solid results when his weekend has been far from perfect. Is he starting to revise his preseason opinion that winning this year’ s MotoGP™ World Championship is not his primary focus?
In MotoGP™ l’ italiano ha vinto le prime tre gare dell’ anno. E l’ ha fatto trascorrendo in testa ogni singolo giro. A Jerez ha dimostrato inoltre di saper portare a casa il risultato anche quando il suo fine settimana non è dei migliori. Nella fase pre campionato, aveva affermato che la vittoria del campionato del mondo MotoGP™ non era il suo obiettivo principale. È ancora della stessa opinione?
“ I don ' t know how to describe my emotions,” said Bezzecchi,“ Because obviously it’ s something that you never expect. I work so hard, obviously like all the MotoGP™ riders, to try to achieve this kind of result, but at the end you never expect to make something like this. So I’ m very, very happy but as I always say, feet on the ground. Let’ s continue working because at the end, these are just numbers and I want to continue in this way.”
Bezzecchi’ s season started off in the right way as he signed a two-year extension to stay with Aprilia beyond this year before preseason testing had even started. Since joining the Noale factory at the end of 2024, it’ s hard to imagine the relationship going any better.
“ Non saprei come descrivere le mie emozioni”, spiega Bezzecchi.“ È qualcosa che non ti aspetti. Per cercare di ottenere risultati di questo genere lavoro sodo, come d’ altronde tutti gli altri piloti della MotoGP™. Ma alla fine, non ti aspetti mai veramente di fare qualcosa del genere. Sono quindi felice, felicissimo, ma tengo i piedi per terra. Continuiamo a lavorare. Alla fine, per il momento parliamo solo di numeri. Ma voglio continuare così”.
Ancora prima dei test pre campionato, il 2026 di Bezzecchi è iniziato con una buona notizia: la firma di un nuovo contratto biennale che lo vedrà restare per altre due stagioni con Aprilia, a partire dalla prossima. Il rapporto con la realtà di Noale è iniziato alla fine del 2024. Difficile immaginare, in quel momento, che sarebbe potuta andare meglio di così.
