Rins ha imparato le cose in fretta . Oltre a conquistare la pole position al suo secondo GP assoluto nel 2012 , è arrivato a un soffio dalla vittoria del titolo Moto3™ l ’ anno successivo . È salito sul podio nella sua seconda gara in Moto2™ e ha lottato con il futuro campione del mondo Johann Zarco per tutto il 2015 . Il debutto in MotoGP™ con la Suzuki è datato 2017 : dopo un avvio tormentato dagli infortuni , è progredito rapidamente conquistando cinque podi nel 2018 e tre nel 2019 . Un infortunio alla spalla destra nella prima gara del 2020 ha compromesso la sua stagione , non impedendogli di arrivare terzo in campionato dopo una serie di gare eccellenti . Nel 2021 è però caduto mentre lottava ai vertici in cinque occasioni . Rimane con Ecstar Suzuki per un altro anno e ha tutto da dimostrare .

Rins has always been a fast learner . As well as taking pole position at just his second ever GP in 2012 , he came within a corner of winning the Moto3™ world title the following year . What ’ s more , he was on the podium in just his second ever Moto2™ race before pushing eventual champion Johann Zarco hardest throughout 2015 . Rins ’ MotoGP™ debut with Suzuki followed suit in 2017 . After an injury-plagued opening , he quickly progressed , scoring five podiums in 2018 , while he added three more in 2019 . A dislocation-fracture of his right shoulder in the first race of 2020 hurt his campaign but Rins still finished third in the championship after a string of excellent rides . He failed to build on that in 2021 , however , and crashed out of promising positions on five separate occasions . He remains with Ecstar Suzuki for another year and has it all to prove .
