La stagione d ’ esordio di Bagnaia in Moto3™ , nel 2013 , è stata all ’ insegna di un magro bottino , con l ’ italiano che non è riuscito a segnare nemmeno un punto . Bagnaia è progredito con il passaggio alla Mahindra del 2015 . Poi l ’ ingresso nel nuovo team Moto2™ targato Sky VR46 , nel 2018 : alla seconda stagione nella classe intermedia , un titolo iridato arrivato grazie a otto vittorie . Bagnaia ha esordito in MotoGP™ con Pramac Ducati nel 2019 , decollando nel 2020 con un podio a Misano . Nel 2021 è passato al team ufficiale Ducati ottenendo quattro vittorie nelle ultime sei gare e lottando per il titolo . Sulla base delle sue abilità di guida e della competitività della Ducati , è uno dei favoriti per il titolo nel 2022 .

Bagnaia ’ s debut season in Moto3™ in 2013 was an inauspicious one , the Italian failing to score a point . It wasn ’ t until he switched to Mahindra ’ s Moto3™ racer in 2015 that he really came into his own . A call up to Sky VR46 ’ s new Moto2™ team , followed in 2018 . A second season with the squad saw him claim eight wins and his first World Title . Bagnaia made his MotoGP™ debut with Pramac Ducati in 2019 , but it was only in 2020 that he came alive , scoring a debut podium at Misano . He moved to Ducati ’ s Factory team in 2021 and rose to the challenge , notching up four victories from the last six races and fighting for the title . On the basis of his riding skill and Ducati ’ s current strength , he ’ s a title favourite in 2022 .
