Originario dell ’ area di Madrid , Raul Fernandez è salito alla ribalta vincendo il campionato del mondo Junior FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ nel 2018 . Un podio ad Aragon è stato seguito dal primo successo , ottenuto al GP d ’ Europa , e da un finale di stagione con un podio e una vittoria nei GP di Valencia e Portimao . Ha continuato la sua ascesa nel 2021 con una serie di prestazioni sensazionali in Moto2™ , dove ha vinto otto gare e mancato il titolo per soli quattro punti . Promosso in MotoGP™ con Tech 3 KTM per il 2022 , è in lotta per il titolo di rookie of the year , o forse di più .

Hailing from outside Madrid , Raul Fernandez shot to prominence by winning the 2018 FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship . In 2019 , the teenager moved into the Moto3™ World Championship full time . But it wasn ’ t until 2020 that he enjoyed his breakout year , with stunning qualifying times meaning he was regular sight on pole position . A first podium in Aragon was followed up by a maiden victory in the European GP , while he earned another podium and victory in the season ending Valencia and Portimao GPs respectively . He continued his upward trajectory in 2021 , with a string of sensational performances in Moto2 . Fernandez won eight races and missed out on the world title by just four points . By then he was confirmed to step up to MotoGP™ with Tech 3 KTM in 2022 , when he will be expected to challenge for the Rookie of the year honour , if not more .
