Spanish challenger Manuel Gonzalez( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) is currently the rider to beat, having scored brilliant wins in Thailand, Jerez, Le Mans and Mugello. Pre-season favourite Aron Canet( Fantic Racing LINO SONEGO) has been his main challenger so far.
Brazilian Diogo Moreira( Italtrans Racing Team), last year’ s Rookie of the Year, has also proven himself a title contender. His wins at Assen and the
Red Bull Ring showed he can push Gonzalez across the entire season.
Barry Baltus( Fantic Racing LINO SONEGO) has been the revelation of the year, scoring six podiums in the first 16 races. Jake Dixon( ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) claimed commanding wins in Argentina and Austin aboard his new Boscoscuro chassis, but has struggled for consistency.
Also watch out for the CFMoto Aspar Team’ s talented rookie duo of Dani Holgado and David Alonso. Holgado has been the standout rookie so far, while Alonso’ s win in Hungary showed he has found his feet.
