The reigning Champion will race with the # 1 in 2025, and he will do it on a different bike. After duelling Francesco Bagnaia to the end in 2023 and coming up short, Jorge Martin won the rematch in 2024 – and that was even after he took his future into his own hands by signing with Aprilia. That decision ended speculation about whether Martin or Marc Marquez would move to partner Bagnaia at Ducati, and it sets up a mouth-watering 2025 as the # 1 heads out from the Aprilia garage instead. Everything – or nearly everything – that had once been a chink in Martin’ s armour since his impressive but injury-hit MotoGP™ debut in 2021 seems to have been whittled away, with consistency and a lack of unforced errors proving crucial in how he secured his maiden MotoGP™ crown. The start to life at his new home, Aprilia Racing, has been far from straightforward. But now, Jorge is fully fit and ready to attack the second half of 2025.
