Despite reigning champion Diogo Moreira stepping up to MotoGP™, the other Moto2™ contenders in 2025 have stayed behind to contest another highly competitive season.
Last year saw all kinds of records broken. 18 different riders climbed the podium in the intermediate class and eleven won a race – never has a category seen such variety before.
Of those likely to fight at the front this year, Thai and Barcelona GP winner winner Manuel Gonzalez( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) is back in contention after winning the first and sixth races of the year.
CFMoto Aspar Team’ s talented duo of Dani Holgado and David Alonso were the outstanding rookies last term – and both Moto2™ race winners. Now in their second season in the class, both will be keen to mount a serious title challenge. Alonso, in particular, won here brilliantly last year.
Having backed up his Austin victory with a triumph at Jerez, Senna Agius( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) has proved he is capable of fighting for the championship this term.
Also keep an eye on BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 runner Izan Guevara, who scored four podiums from the first six races, as well as Celestino Vietti( SpeedRS Team), who rode to a fine second places in Austin and Barcelona.
And Ivan Ortola( QJMOTOR – Bordoy – MSI) is another to keep an eye on. The Spaniard’ s third place in France showed he is only getting faster in his second season in the class.

Most, hogy a második szezonjukat töltik a kategóriában, mindketten a világbajnoki címet tűzték ki célul. Alonsót pedig külön meg kell említenünk, hiszen ő nyerte a tavalyi magyar futamot.
Miután Austinban aratott győzelmét egy jerezi diadallal is alátámasztotta, Senna Agius( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) szintén bebizonyította, hogy képes harcolni a bajnoki címért ebben a szezonban.
Azonban nem szabad megfeledkeznünk a BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2-es versenyzőjéről, Izan Guevaráról sem, aki az első hat futamból négy dobogós helyezést szerzett, valamint ott lesz Celestino Vietti is( SpeedRS Team), aki Austinban és Barcelonában második lett.
Ivan Ortola( QJMOTOR – Bordoy – MSI) pedig szintén egy figyelemre méltó versenyző. A spanyol Franciaországban szerzett harmadik helye jól mutatja, hogy egyre gyorsabb a kategóriában eltöltött második szezonjában.
