Despite reigning champion Diogo Moreira stepping up to MotoGP™, the other Moto2™ contenders in 2025 have stayed behind to contest another highly competitive season.
Last year saw all kinds of records broken. Eighteen different riders climbed the podium in the intermediate class and eleven won a race. Never has a category seen such variety before.
Of those likely to fight at the front this year, Manuel Gonzalez( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) is the early favourite after winning four of the first eleven races.
Also keep an eye on BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 rider Izan Guevara, who scored four podiums from the first six races, as well as
Celestino Vietti( SpeedRS Team), who rode to fine second places in Austin and Barcelona.
CFMoto Aspar Team ' s talented duo of Dani Holgado and David Alonso were the outstanding rookies last term, and both Moto2™ race winners. Now in their second season in the class, both are in the process of mounting a serious title challenge.
Having backed up his Austin victory with a triumph at Jerez, Senna Agius( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) has proved he is capable of fighting for the championship this term.
Ivan Ortola( QJMOTOR – Bordoy – MSI) is another to keep an eye on. The Spaniard ' s victories at Brno and the Sachsenring showed he is only getting faster in his second season in the class.
