Coming off its most successful MotoGP season to date, Aprilia boss Massimo Rivola and lead rider Marco Bezzecchi are aiming high, but stopped short of predicting a title challenge. 2025 brought unprecedented success for the Noale factory: 19 podiums, four race wins( and three Tissot Sprints), plus an Aprilia rider in the top three in the championship for the first time. And Rivola insisted the aim is to kick on and achieve even greater success this time around.
“ If we fight like lions at every race, then I will be happy with whatever the outcome will be,” said Rivola. Come the middle of 2025, Bezzecchi was regularly pointing jabs at Marc Marquez as he produced podium challenges at each of the last 13 races, bar Barcelona and Malaysia. And that came despite Jorge Martin’ s regular absences due to injury.
Looking at this year’ s machine, it features radically changed aerodynamics, including a different seat unit, plus electronics changes.“ In the electronics we work for sure in the area of traction control, especially, for the exit on the corner and also in the entry,” said Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini.“ In terms of aerodynamics is to obtain better efficiency, so you can generate better aerodynamic forces that are productive for performance, but you don ' t have any drawback.”
They’ ve started the season exceptionally, with all four of their riders in the championship fight. Can they maintain their title form in the weeks to come?
