New Zealand sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Volcanoes, glaciers, alpine passes and rugged coastlines have shaped a landscape unlike anywhere else. One day you ride through rainforest. The next across open plains or beside crystal clear lakes. Traffic is light, roads are well maintained and the corners keep coming.
Getting here Flights from the UK take around 24 to 30 hours, with most arriving via Auckland. Treat the journey as part of the adventure. Before you travel, apply online for a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority( NZeTA).
Weather New Zealand is famous for four seasons in one day. Summer temperatures range from around 20 ° C to 30 ° C, although it is cooler in the mountains. Textile or Gore-Tex riding gear with removable liners is ideal. The main riding season runs from November to April.
