Raul Fernandez progressed rapidly through the junior ranks, moving from domestic competition into JuniorGP and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Strong results included multiple wins and podiums, followed by the JuniorGP title in 2018. Grand Prix outings that season produced points finishes and confirmed his readiness for full time competition. A permanent step into Moto3™ in 2019 brought steady top ten results, before a breakout 2020 campaign delivered pole positions, multiple podiums and three victories. A move to Moto2™ in 2021 produced one of the strongest rookie seasons on record. Eight wins placed Fernandez firmly in the title fight and secured second overall. Promotion to MotoGP™ followed in 2022 with Tech3 KTM, though results proved limited. A switch to Aprilia machinery brought gradual progress across 2023 and 2024.
