Marco Bezzecchi emerged as a front runner in domestic Moto3™ competition before stepping onto the world stage, quickly establishing himself as a title contender. A full time Moto3™ campaign followed in 2017, with regular podium finishes laying the foundations for a major breakthrough in 2018. Nine podiums, including three victories, placed Bezzecchi firmly in the championship fight and earned promotion to Moto2™. After an adaptation year, a move to the VR46 set up in 2020 transformed his fortunes. Multiple podiums and victories kept him in title contention, with third overall achieved in 2021. Promotion to MotoGP™ followed, where Bezzecchi impressed immediately, securing Rookie of the Year honours and a maiden podium. A strong 2023 included multiple race wins before injury halted momentum. A move to Aprilia in 2025 proved inspired. Three victories and third overall confirmed his status as a leading contender. Entering 2026, Bezzecchi targets a sustained title challenge.
Marco Bezzecchi machte sich zunächst in nationalen Moto3™- Wettbewerben einen Namen, bevor er auf die Weltbühne trat und sich rasch als Titelanwärter etablierte. 2017 folgte eine erste Saison in der Moto3™. Regelmäßige Podiumsplatzierungen legten den Grundstein für seinen großen Durchbruch im Jahr 2018. Neun Podestplätze, darunter drei Siege, brachten Bezzecchi mitten ins Titelrennen und ebneten den Weg für den Aufstieg in die Moto2™. Nach einem Lehrjahr sorgte der Wechsel zum VR46-Team 2020 für Schwung: Dank zahlreicher Podestplätze und Siege blieb er im Titelkampf und belegte 2021 den dritten Gesamtrang. Es folgte der Aufstieg in die MotoGP™, wo Bezzecchi sofort überzeugte: Er sicherte sich den Titel „ Rookie of the Year“ sowie seinen ersten Podiumsplatz. Eine starke Saison 2023 brachte mehrere Rennsiege, bevor eine Verletzung seinen Lauf stoppte. Der Wechsel zu Aprilia im Jahr 2025 erwies sich als genialer Schachzug; drei Siege und der dritte Gesamtrang bestätigten seinen Status als Spitzenfahrer. Mit Blick auf 2026 strebt Bezzecchi nun einen ernsthaften Angriff auf den Titel an.
