The 2020 MotoGP Champion has had a tougher time since joining Honda, with the project struggling to find its feet just as he had started to establish himself as a frontrunner in MotoGP. Since then, there have been some ups and downs, but the hard work behind the scenes for Honda is clear. Mir, for his part, signed up to remain with the project and keep pushing to take them back towards the top. The key goal will likely be more consistent finishes as HRC chip away at moving forward again, as well as some solid hauls of points as Mir looks to edge out teammate Luca Marini and the now-experienced Johann Zarco in the Honda rivalry.
De MotoGP-kampioen van 2020 heeft het niet makkelijk gehad toen hij naar Honda ging. Het project zat in een moeilijke fase en het vinden van de juiste weg was een worsteling toen hij bezig was een plaats als koploper te veroveren in de MotoGP. Sindsdien zijn er pieken en dalen geweest, maar duidelijk is dat er achter de schermen door Honda hard wordt gewerkt. Mir zelf besloot door te gaan bij het project en zich te blijven inzetten voor een terugkeer naar de top. Om dit te bewerkstelligen, zal het belangrijkste doel van HRC waarschijnlijk zijn om consistenter te finishen. Als Mir zijn teamgenoot Luca Marini en de nu ervaren Johann Zarco voorbij wil streven in de Honda-rivaliteit zal hij flink wat punten binnen moeten slepen.
