Considering Enea Bastianini( Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Jorge Martin( Aprilia Racing), the front-runners in last year’ s British Grand Prix, have been far from their best in 2025, it could be tricky to predict a winner for this year’ s event.
Marc Marquez( Ducati Lenovo Team) has shown himself to be fast at every circuit, in every condition, in 2025. The Spaniard took the pole position – Sprint – feature race treble in Thailand, Argentina and Qatar. Yet costly crashes while in victory contention in Austin and Jerez offered his rivals hope.
His main competition should come from team-mate Pecco Bagnaia( Ducati Lenovo Team). Despite winning in Austin, the double MotoGP™ World Champion was unable to show his best with Ducati’ s GP25 in the first five rounds. But there is a feeling he is now finding his feet.
Yet not even Marquez or Bagnaia could claim to be leading the standings after five rounds. Rather, that fell to Alex Marquez( BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), whose epic first victory at Jerez suggested he is very much in contention for this year’ s MotoGP™ title.
