If recent form is any gauge, there’ s a clear favourite heading to Austria: two-time MotoGP™ World Champion Pecco Bagnaia( Ducati Lenovo Team) has been the star of the Red Bull Ring for the past three seasons.
It’ s been a tough first half of the year for the Italian. Despite a win in Austin, he has struggled to find confidence with Ducati’ s GP25, and costly crashes in France and the UK have dented his title hopes. Still, he dominated each of the past three races here.

His main competition will no doubt come from teammate Marc Marquez( Ducati Lenovo Team). After crashing out of the Spanish GP, the six-time MotoGP™ World Champion reignited his title credentials with a run of five consecutive victories, from Aragon to Brno.
Yet not even Marquez or Bagnaia can claim the title of breakout star of the year. That honour belongs to Alex Marquez( BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), who should be back to full strength
