Alex Marquez wechselt zu Gresini Ducati , Rins kommt zu LCR Honda
Alex Marquez hat für 2023 für Gresini Ducati unterschrieben - und damit konnte Alex Rins dessen Platz bei LCR Honda in Anspruch nehmen . Der ehemalige Moto2™ und Moto3™ Weltmeister Marquez wird dann ein Jahres-Motorrad in Form einer Desmosedici GP22 pilotieren - also das diesjährige Werksmotorrad . Er wird Teamkollege von Fabio Di Giannantonio , der seinen Vertrag mit seinem derzeitigen Team verlängert hat . “ Ich bin sehr gespannt auf dieses neue Abenteuer . Für mich war ein Wechsel wichtig , damit ich wieder zu der Motivation finde , die ich hatte , als ich in diese Klasse gewechselt bin ”, sagte er . Rins hatte hingegen zwei Verträge vorliegen und zuvor noch nicht unterschrieben . “ Ich hatte die Ducati-Option bei Gresini und die bei LCR ”, so der Noch-Suzuki-Pilot . “ Wir haben auch mit Ducati gesprochen , aber sie konnten mir kein aktuelles Motorrad bieten . Ich wollte unbedingt ein aktuelles Bike und Honda hat mir diese Möglichkeit geboten . Es ist ein schönes Projekt . Derzeit ist das Motorrad , was die Ergebnisse angeht , nicht so gut , aber ich denke , dass wir es wieder zu einem guten Motorrad entwickeln können .”

Alex Marquez has signed for Gresini Ducati for 2023 , opening the way for Alex Rins to take his place at LCR Honda . The former Moto2™ and Moto3™ World Champion will race a year-old Desmosedici GP22 – this year ’ s factory bikes – alongside Fabio Di Giannantonio , who extended his current deal with the team . “ I ’ m very excited to be starting this new adventure . It was crucial for me to change in order to recover the same type of motivation I had when I first joined this class ,” he said . While Rins had yet to sign the contract with LCR Honda on the Sunday after the race , he indicated the deal was all-but-decided . “ In the end I was managing the Ducati option - the Gresini option - or the LCR option ,” said the current Suzuki man . “ We were talking with Ducati and they did not give me an official bike . I was fighting for an official bike and Honda was able to give me that possibility . It ’ s a nice project . Right now the bike is not going so good in terms of results so let ’ s see if we can manage to make a good bike .”
Erster MotoGP™ Test für Toprak
Der amtierende WorldSBK™ Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu konnte im Juni in Aragon sein lang ersehntes , erstes Outing auf der MotoGP™ Yamaha M1 fahren . Der 25-Jährige konnte seine ersten 40 Runden in unglaublich heißen Bedingungen fahren . Auch Yamaha-Testfahrer Cal Crutchlow war mit dabei . Am Nachmittag setzte Regen dem Test ein frühes Ende . Auch wenn Yamaha den Türken gern in die MotoGP™ transferieren würde , hat er sich für ein weiteres Jahr in der WorldSBK™ in 2023 entschieden . Auf die Frage , ob Toprak das Talent habe , es in der MotoGP™ zu schaffen , sagte Weltmeister Fabio Quartararo : “ Für mich ist er ein extrem talentierter Fahrer . Bei seinem Fahrstil kann man klar erkennen , wie sehr er das Motorrad pusht ”, so der Franzose . “ Ich habe auch seinen Save in der letzten Schikane von Estoril gesehen . So , wie er die Yamaha am Limit bewegt , denke ich : Er hat das Potenzial in die MotoGP™ umzusteigen .” “ Natürlich ist das eine ganz andere Geschichte , als ein Superbike . Ich denke , dass er das vom Aragon-Test weiß , dass das ein viel direkteres Motorrad ist , viel anders zu fahren , aber sicher : Er strotzt vor Motivation und er kann es in der MotoGP™ sichder schaffen . Ich denke , dass er ein schneller Fahrer sein kann .”
Toprak ’ s MotoGP test
Reigning WorldSBK™ Champion Toprak Razgatioglu had his muchanticipated outing on a Yamaha M1 at Aragon in June . The 25-year old completed 40 laps in sweltering conditions in the morning with test rider Cal Crutchlow also present , before rain brought a premature close to affairs . Despite Yamaha ’ s preference to bring him to the MotoGP paddock , the Turk will stay in WorldSBK™ for another year in 2023 . Asked if he thinks Toprak has the talent to make it in MotoGP™ , Fabio Quartararo was unequivocal . “ For me he is an extremely talented rider . You can see on his riding style , how much he pushed the bike ,” said the Frenchman . “ I ’ ve seen also the save he did in Estoril on the last chicane . The way he ’ s riding the Yamaha on the limit , I think he has the potential to jump in MotoGP™ .
“ Of course , it ’ s a total different story than superbike . I think he knows from the test of Aragon that it ’ s a much more rigid bike , much more different to ride , but for sure if he ’ s in full motivation , and he can really be on MotoGP™ , I think he can be a really fast rider .”
