Marco Bezzecchi kam 2017 als Permanentstarter in die Moto3™-Klasse , konnte aber auf einer unterlegenen CIP Mahindra nicht zeigen , was er kann . 2018 wechselte er ins Prüstel GP KTM Team und kämpfte mit drei Siegen und sechs weiteren Podesten um den WM-Titel mit . Nach seinem Wechsel in die Moto2™ und auf ein KTM-Chassis blieben Spitzenleistungen zunächst aus , doch als er 2020 zu Sky Racing VR46 und auf Kalex kam , gewannen ihm zwei Moto2™-Laufsiege und vier weitere Podeste . 2021 blieb er im Team und holte einen weiteren Sieg und sieben Podiums , konnte aber in der Titelvergabe nicht mit reden . 2022 steigt er ins neue Mooney VR46 Racing Team in die MotoGP™ auf und fährt dort eine Ducati GP21 .

A full-time debut arrived for Bezzecchi in 2017 , when he contested the year aboard the underpowered CIP Mahindra machine . He moved to the PruestelGP KTM squad for 2018 and fought for the championship , scoring three wins and six further podiums along the way . He endured a baptism of fire in his rookie Moto2™ campaign aboard an uncompetitive KTM chassis , but a switch to the Sky Racing VR46 team and Kalex hardware for 2020 resulted in two Moto2™ race wins and four further podiums . He was expected to kick on and fight for the title in the same set-up in 2021 , but that never quite materialised , despite one race win and seven podiums . He moved up to MotoGP™ in 2022 with Mooney VR46 Racing Team aboard a Ducati GP21 and is on course to end the season as the Rookie of the Year .
