Continuity is key and that ’ s something Yamaha have with their line-up for 2025 as both 2021 World Champion Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins remain with the Iwata manufacturer . Having struggled throughout 2024 and without a podium , changes are coming on the horizon at Yamaha , with a switch from the inline-four engine to a V4 widely anticipated and could be seen on track in 2025 . As for their inline four , they had a new engine , chassis and aero spec in the Barcelona test and Quartararo and Rins were quite positive about it .

Beyond that , Augusto Fernandez is Yamaha ’ s official test rider , proof that they ’ re working on all assets to return to the front .
