The reigning Champion will race with the # 1 in 2025 , and he ’ ll do it on a different bike . After duelling Francesco Bagnaia to the end in 2023 and coming up short , Martin won the rematch in 2024 – and that even after he took his future into his own hands and signed with Aprilia . That ended the speculation of Martin or Marc Marquez moving to partner Bagnaia at Ducati , and it sets up a mouth-watering 2025 as the # 1 pits out from the Aprila garage instead . Everything – or nearly everything – that proved a chink in Martin ’ s armour since his impressive but then injury-hit MotoGP debut in 2021 seems to have been whittled way , with consistency and a lack of unforced errors playing a large part in how he took his maiden MotoGP crown . Now he ’ ll look to keep that going and prove another point in 2025 – that he can do just the same in his new home , Aprilia Racing .
