Martín se incorporó al Campeonato del Mundo de Moto3™ en 2015 , tras ganar la Red Bull Rookies Cup el año anterior . Consiguió su primer podio en 2016 . Para 2017 , el español se trasladó al Del Conca Gresini Racing Moto3™ , finalizando en la cuarta posición de la general en un año en el que acumuló nueve ‘ poles ’ y una primera victoria . Pero 2018 sería el gran año de Martín al salir campeón tras conseguir siete victorias . Luego saltó a Moto2™ con la estructura KTM de Aki Ajo en 2019 , pero con un éxito limitado . El cambio a un chasis Kalex en 2020 le llevó a conseguir tres victorias , pero sus esperanzas de pugnar por el título se vieron truncadas al dar positivo en COVID-19 . Ducati vio lo suficiente como para brindarle un asiento en la escuadra Pramac para 2021 y desde allí asombró al paddock como rookie al conseguir una victoria , dos podios más y tres ‘ poles ’. De nuevo con el mismo equipo , ¿ podría ser un aspirante al título ?

Martín joined the Moto3™ World Championship in 2015 , after winning the Red Bull Rookies Cup the year before . He scored his first podium in 2016 . For 2017 , the Spaniard moved to Del Conca Gresini Racing Moto3™ when he placed fourth overall in a year that saw him rack up nine pole positions and a first win 2018 would be Martin ’ s year as he emerged victorious after scoring seven victories . He then moved to Moto2™ with Aki Ajo ’ s KTM squad in 2019 but with limited success . A switch to a Kalex chassis in 2020 led to three wins , but his title hopes were dashed by a positive Covid-19 test . Ducati saw enough to hand him a seat in the Pramac squad in 2021 and he stunned the paddock by taking a debut win , two further podiums and three poles . In the same team , could he be an outside title contender ?
