Moto3™ PREVIEW ARAGON

It is possible that in years to come 2021 will be remembered for the arrival of grand prix racing ’ s new sensation Pedro Acosta , among other things . The 17-year old rookie has taken the Moto3™ class by storm , racking up four victories in eight races to lead the championship by a notable 55 points .
It ’ s been quite the ride until now . Having scored a fine second place in his debut grand prix , the Red Bull Ajo KTM rider then amazed the watching world by winning his second – and that was after he was handed a pit lane start . From there , he won last lap battles at Portimao and Jerez brilliantly , before adding further triumphs at the Sachsenring and Red Bull Ring .
It hasn ’ t been all about him , however . Sergio Garcia sits second overall after a solid start to the season . The Valencian rider has notched up two victories for the Aspar GASGAS team , in different conditions : the clinical performance in the wet at the French Grand Prix , and the hectic holding of his nerve in a frantic last lap scrap at Barcelona . The 18-year old should be a championship threat until the end of the season .
Romano Fenati has enjoyed his best season since 2017 , winning the British GP in convincing syle . He sits third overall . Then there is the perplexing Dennis Foggia now in his second year riding for the Leopard Honda team , who sits fourth and is a regular podium threat .
