Aleix Espargaró saltó rápidamente de 125cc en 2005 a la categoría de 250cc a mediados de 2006 , hasta que se encontró sin montura tres años después . Pero una carrera de sustitución en 2009 con el Pramac Ducati , puso al catalán de nuevo en el mapa . Sus cuatro actuaciones le valieron una convocatoria a tiempo completo para una campaña entera de MotoGP™ al año siguiente . A partir de ahí , Espargaró ganó dos títulos de la categoría CRT en 2012 y 2013 . Después , puso al día a Suzuki -que regresaba a la categoría después de tres años de ausencia- en 2015 e hizo lo propio con Aprilia a partir de 2017 , cuando consiguió dos brillantes sextos puestos . Ahora ha demostrado que la fábrica de Noale es cada vez más competitiva al conseguir un brillante podio en Silverstone .
Espargaro skipped quickly from 125cc in 2005 to the 250cc class midway through 2006 until he found himself without a ride three years later . But a substitute ride in 2009 for Pramac Ducati , put this Catalan on the map . His four showings earned him a full-time call up for a full MotoGP™ campaign the following year . From there Espargaro won two CRT class titles in 2012 and 2013 . He brought Suzuki – returning to the class after a threeyear absence – up to speed in 2015 and did the same for Aprilia in 2017 , when he scored two brilliant top six finishes . He has now proved Aprilia is competitive once again , scoring a brilliant podium at Silverstone .
