While the winner of the three previous GPs has been difficult to predict, there is no doubting who rocks up at Aragon as the prerace favourite. Marc Marquez( Ducati Lenovo Team) made history here in 2024, taking his first ever treble of triumphs, including pole position and success in the Tissot Sprint and Sunday race.
The anti-clockwise layout of Motorland Aragon has long been one of the six-time World Champion’ s favourites. He notched up further victories here in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
His main competition should come from teammate Pecco Bagnaia( Ducati Lenovo Team). Despite winning in Austin, the double MotoGP™ World Champion was unable to show his best with Ducati’ s GP25 in the first five rounds. But there is a feeling he is now finding his feet.
Yet not even Marquez or Bagnaia could claim to be leading the standings after five rounds. Rather, that fell to Alex Marquez( BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP),
