Rins sempre foi um rápido aprendiz . Para além de ter assumido a pole position apenas no seu segundo GP de sempre , em 2012 , esteve próximo de ganhar o título mundial Moto3™ no ano seguinte . Além disso , ele esteve no pódio apenas na sua segunda corrida de sempre em Moto2™ antes de pressionar o eventual campeão Johann Zarco , ao longo de 2015 . A estreia de Rins em MotoGP™ com a Suzuki seguiu-se em 2017 . Progrediu rapidamente , marcando cinco pódios em 2018 , enquanto acrescentou mais três em 2019 . Uma fratura no ombro direito na primeira corrida de 2020 atormentou a sua temporada , mas Rins ainda terminou em terceiro lugar no campeonato . 2021 tem sido duro , mas um segundo lugar em Silverstone pôs fim a uma corrida dura .
Rins has always been a fast learner . As well as taking pole position at just his second ever GP in 2012 , he came within a corner of winning the Moto3™ world title the following year . What ’ s more , he was on the podium in just his second ever Moto2™ race before pushing eventual champion Johann Zarco hardest throughout 2015 . Rins ’ MotoGP™ debut with Suzuki followed suit in 2017 . He quickly progressed , scoring five podiums in 2018 , while he added three more in 2019 . A dislocation-fracture of his right shoulder in the first race of 2020 plagued his campaign but Rins still finished third in the championship . 2021 has been tough , but a second place at Silverstone brought a tough run to an end .
