Managing school and dance

chool, homework, projects,
exams... But dance is consuming
your time? It’s okay! Managing
your time is an important part
of this experience, and here are
a few tips on how to make the
most of your time, and still have
plenty of time to sleep.
Step number 1: Prioritize
Ask yourself, what is the most
important task I need to do? Whether it’s
the hardest or the simplest task, do it
without hesitation. Once you do this,
move on to the next important task. By
doing this, you’ll start eliminating the
important tasks and will be left with the
least important, therefore you’ll start
destressing slowly.

Pre-stressing is a common thing
dancers do, that in the end, doesn’t do you
any good. When you get to dance with a
pre-set mind of how you’re going to have
to stay up because of homework, your
performance in dance won’t be as good.
Instead, concentrate on your performance
in class and use it as a distraction to destress.
Step number 3: Don’t
tinate!

You’ve spent all your day rushing, from
school to dance and that’s all you do, it is
only natural you would want some “me
time”. However, how much time do you
really need? It is common for you to want to
stay up all night chatting and talking to your
friends, but remember priorities? You will
feel so much better when your homework is
