Unspoken Words Kate Edwardson
First of all, let’ s get this out the way, What you begin to expect on Mother’ s Day. Thank you for being there after all these years,( I’ m surprised you’ ve stuck up with me, that deserves three cheers). Thank you for the general upkeep of my body and mind, And even if I ruin your brand new rug, that you still stay kind, Or if I get myself in a mess, You definitely know what to say best, Perhaps for school I’ m really, really late, But you somehow have the ability to avoid my bad fate, And get me in before the bell.
You teach me how to love and care, Even when I don’ t want to- eventually share. Not a competition to be the best, But to try and try your very hardest, As pushing yourself to your prime ability, Will always be good enough to me.
I’ ll return all these favours, Flowers, chocolates, a feeling to savor, A bond that can’ t be broken; Sometimes unsaid words spoken, Or glances in the certain way, Can tell everything you want to say.
And as you see with the smile in my voice, This was, of course, my confident choice, And I will always say, Have a very, very happy Mother’ s Day!
