КАК ДОБРАТЬСЯ
HOW TO GET
Северный вокзал Крупнейший из речных вокзалов появился в 1937 году. Издали архитектура вокзала напоминает бороздящий волны корабль
North station The largest of the river stations was built in 1937. From a distance, the station’ s architecture resembles a wave-surfing ship,
SOUTH STATION The second river station of the city— South— was built in 1972 in the green zone of the Nagatin floodplain. Today the station is used for transportation of goods and rare passenger traffic along the ring line: Moscow-Gorky and Moscow-Ryazan.
NORTH STATION The largest of the river stations was built in 1937. From a distance, the station’ s architecture resembles a wave-surfing ship, with a high spire mast crowned with a star, which headed the main tower of the Moscow Kremlin previously. Light, graceful galleries give coolness on a hot day, and richly inlaid with the Ural gems hammer and sickle of the spire amaze the imagination. The decorative majolica panel on the facade, depicting « Moscow of the future », the way people imaged it at the end of the 30-ies drives the special attention. You can get to the North River Station by metro— there is a station with the speaking name « Rechnoy vokzal » next to it.
MOSCOW BERTHS Except of major river stations, Moscow has small berths of river trams. People of Moscow love travelling on these little boats a lot. Residents of the capital are so fond of the panorama of their native city that they sail the Moscow river even in winter, luckily for this, city has even icebreakers that by the way, are equipped with floating restaurants.
