My love whose breath is a summer breeze
Whose breath creates storms within me
Whose breath carries winds of words
My love whose hands are cracked like canyons
Whose hands are like cedar trees
My love whose fingers are like branches
Whose fingers get caught in my hair
My love whose chin is a cliff’s edge
Whose lips are a cliff’s edge
Whose tongue is a peach in mid July
My love whose voice is a cardinal’s call
Whose arms are like cardinal’s wings
Whose arms stretch out like sails
My love whose forehead is a shaded tree in August
Whose hairline is a skyline
Whose hair is prairie grass
My love whose eyebrows rise like tides
Whose cheekbones cut like sea glass
My love whose eyes are floodplains
Whose body is the sea
