Father Pieter van Rooyen , Assistant Professor of Theology , published “ The Church Is Holy : Perspective and Hope from St . Augustine ,” Catechetical Review 8 ( 2 ); taught a minicourse , Seven Capital Vices , for the Missionaries of Charity , in Toluca , Mexico ; and led an eight-day retreat for the Missionaries of Charity in Toluca .
Dr . Robert Fastiggi , Bishop Kevin M . Britt Chair of Dogmatic Theology and Christology , wrote the Foreword to the sixth edition of A Short Treatise on the Virgin Mary by René Laurentin ( Washington , D . C .: The Catholic University of America Press , 2022 ). On June 27 , 2022 , he attended a program at the Grand Mosque in Rome commemorating the 800th anniversary of the meeting between St . Francis of Assisi and the Sultan of Egypt .

Edward Peters , Edmund Cardinal Szoka Chair of Faculty Development , participated in an intensive oral Latin program sponsored by the Familia Sancti Ieronimi at the Holy Hill Shrine near Milwaukee , Wisconsin , July 25- 30 . He continues his service as an anonymous peer reviewer for various canonical journals and reviews .

Ralph Martin , Professor of theology and director of graduate programs in the new evangelization , spoke at the Annual Retreat for Friars of the Renewal in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , April 18-21 ; the Regional Priests Conference at the St . Paul Center for Biblical Theology in Austin , Texas , April 25-28 ; the
Annual Clergy Convocation for the Diocese of San Jose , California , May 9-12 ; at various retreats and speaking events for the Confraternity of Catholic Clergy in London , York , and other locations throughout the United Kingdom , May , 29-June , 5 ; and the Regional Priests Conference at St . Paul Center for Biblical Theology in Wheeling , West Virginia , July 18-22 .
Dr . Mary Healy , professor of Sacred Scripture , spoke at a retreat for the Marians of the Immaculate Conception , Stockbridge , Massachusetts , Aug . 8-9 . She gave a keynote on “ The Eucharist as the Source and Summit of Evangelization ” at the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Catechetical Conference , Aug . 25 , and spoke on “ The Eucharist and the Christian Life ” and “ Evangelization of the Family and by the Family ” at the Midwest Catholic Family Conference , Wichita , Kansas , Aug . 6-7 . She gave a talk on the Eucharist and healing at the Fargo Eucharistic Conference , Sept . 24 . She published “ Homosexuality in the Pontifical Biblical Commission Document What Is Man ?” in Biblical Annals , 12 ( 3 ), 2022 .
Father Charles Fox , Vice Rector and Dean of Seminarian Formation , accompanied the Theology I-III classes to many holy sites in Assisi , Florence , Orvieto , and Rome on the seminary ’ s annual pilgrimage in May .
