This summer , five dioceses and two religious orders ordained sixteen men to the priesthood . Like countless before them , these men celebrated the sacrament of Holy Orders , responding to the Lord ’ s call to go and make disciples of all nations . But unlike so many before them , these newly ordained were unable to celebrate in person due to the restrictions placed on public gatherings in response to Covid-19 . This year , ordinations across the country were livestreamed and recorded in order to allow the families , friends , and loved ones of the newest presbyters to share in these monumental events .
